Yohanes 7:37 Dan pada hari terakhir, yaitu pada puncak perayaan itu, Yesus berdiri dan berseru: "Barangsiapa haus, baiklah ia datang kepada-Ku dan minum
Jesus’ words, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink” alluded to the theme of many Bible passages that talk about the Messiah’s life-giving blessings in promising to give the Holy Spirit to all who believed, Jesus was claiming to be the Messiah because that was something only the Messiah could do.
Kata-kata Yesus, “Barangsiapa haus baiklah ia datang kepadaKu dan minum” menyinggung kepada tema Alkitab yang berbicara tentang kehidupan yang diberikan Mesias sehubungan dengan janji untuk memberikan Roh Kudus kepada semua yang percaya, Yesus menyatakan dia sebagai Mesias karena hal itu hanya dapat dilakukan oleh seorang Mesias.
