July 15th, 2009 GOD WILL BLESS WHO OBSERVE THE SABBATH

Isaiah 56:2 I will bless those who always observe the Sabbath and do not misuse it. I will bless those who do nothing evil."
Yesaya 56:2 Kuberkati orang yang menepati hari Sabat dan tidak menajiskan hari itu. Orang yang tidak melakukan kejahatan akan Kuperlakukan dengan baik. (Alkitab Bahasa Indonesia Sehari-hari).
God commanded his people to rest and honor him on the Sabbath. He wants us to serve him every day, but he wants us to make one day special when we rest and focus our thoughts on him. For the Israelites, this special day was the Sabbath (Saturday). A few Christians set Saturday aside as this special day, but most accept Sunday (the day of the week that Jesus rose from the dead) as the “Lord’s Day,” a day of rest and honor to God—Life Application Bible p.122, World Bible Publishers, Inc. Tuhan memerintahkan umatNYA untuk beristirahat dan menghormati DIA pada hari Sabbath. Dia inginkan kita melayani DIA setiap hari, tetapi DIA menginginkan kita untuk membuat satu hari khusus waktu kita beristirahat dan memusatkan pikiran kita kepadaNYA. Bagi bangsa Israel, hari khusus ini adalah hari Sabbath (Sabtu). Ada sedikit orang Kristen yang menyisihkan hari Sabtu sebagai hari khusus, tetapi kebanyakan menerima hari Minggu (hari dalam minggu waktu Yesus bangkit dari kematian) sebagai “Hari Tuhan,” sebuah hari beristirahat dan menyembah Allah-- Life Application Bible p.122, World Bible Publishers, Inc.
