July 25th, 2009 JESUS FULFILLED THE OLD TESTAMENT

John the Baptist was the dividing line between the Old and New Testaments. With Jesus came the realization of all the prophets’ hopes. Jesus emphasized that his kingdom fulfilled the law (the Old Testament), it did not cancel it. His was not a new system but the culmination of the old. The same God who worked through Moses was working through Jesus.
Yohanes pembaptis membagi garis antara perjanjian baru dan perjanjian lama. Yesus datang merealisasikan semua harapan nabi. Yesus menekankan bahwa kerajaanNYA menggenapi hukum perjanjian lama, bukan membatalkannya. Dia bukanlah sebuah sistim yang baru tetapi penggenapan dari yang lama. Allah yang sama yang bekerja melalui Musa dan bekerja melalui Yesus.
